Being a Truck Girly (Yes, It’s a Thing)

Hayley Bryant's Blog | Being a Truck Girly (Yes, It’s a Thing)

Some girls love designer bags.

Some girls love Pilates and matcha.

Me?

I love trucks.

Big ones. Loud ones. Ones that sit just a little higher than they need to. The kind you have to climb into. The kind that make people do a double take when a girl hops out of the driver’s seat.

Being a “truck girly” isn’t about proving anything. It’s not about trying to be one of the guys. It’s about liking what you like and not shrinking it to make anyone comfortable.

It Starts Young (Whether You Realize It or Not)

For me, trucks were always around. They meant work. They meant freedom. They meant getting from point A to wherever the dirt road ended. Trucks weren’t just vehicles — they were tools, protection, and sometimes personality.

Somewhere along the way, I realized I didn’t just ride in trucks.

I felt right driving them.

Truck Girly ≠ Trying to Be Tough

Here’s the part people get wrong.

Being a truck girly doesn’t mean:

• I don’t like getting dressed up

• I don’t like being feminine

• I don’t care about details

It actually means the opposite.

I can love a lifted truck and a good outfit.

I can talk torque and towing and take cute pictures.

I can appreciate horsepower and heated seats.

Strength and softness can exist in the same lane.

Why Trucks Just Make Sense

A truck feels capable.

It feels safe.

It feels like I can handle whatever the day throws at me.

Whether it’s hauling something, helping someone move, driving in bad weather, or just knowing I’m not limited — a truck gives you options.

And there’s something empowering about that.

The Confidence Is Real

There’s a different kind of confidence that comes with driving a truck.

It’s not loud.

It’s not flashy.

It’s just… solid.

You sit higher. You see more. You feel grounded.

And when someone says,

“That’s your truck?”

Yeah.

It is.

It’s a Lifestyle, Not a Phase

Being a truck girly isn’t a trend for me. It’s not something I’ll grow out of. It’s tied to how I live, how I work, and how I show up in the world.

I like knowing my vehicle can keep up with me — not the other way around.

Final Thoughts from a Truck Girly

If you’re a girl who loves trucks:

• Don’t downplay it

• Don’t explain it

• Don’t justify it

You don’t need a reason.

Some girls want fast cars.

Some want luxury.

Some want compact and cute.

And some of us want a truck that can handle life — mud, work, growth, and all.

And honestly?

There’s nothing cooler than that.E
