❄️ Snow So Deep Even the Clouds Are Jealous ❄️

There’s nothing quite like waking up to a world dipped in snow so thick it looks like someone hit “select all” and chose pure white. Around here, the fields aren’t just snow-covered — they’re snow-obliterated. You know it’s deep when even the mailman waves a white flag and turns around.

I stepped outside and all I could see was a blanket of white so perfect it could’ve been stitched by angels with insomnia. Every branch, every fence, every forgotten garden gnome looked like it’d dressed up for a winter ball.

That’s when I saw them…

20 to 30 deer casually walking on the frozen pond like they had season passes to the Ice Rink of the South. I swear one of them hit a triple pirouette, paused, then gave me that classic deer-in-headlights look like, “Welp… didn’t see that coming.”

Meanwhile, I was slipping and sliding across what I thought was solid ground, only to realize the whole backyard was basically nature’s version of a Slip ‘N Slide. The deer were out there living their best Bambi life and I was over here trying not to reenact my last attempt at skateboarding (which ended badly and involved more bruises than dignity).

Just when I thought the universe had frozen all surprises, I spotted it — a tiny baby snake wriggling on the ice like it was auditioning for an icy thriller movie. That little guy looked as confused as I felt trying to walk in snow boots for the first time. I half expected him to mutter, “Could’ve sworn it was warmer yesterday…”

The deer didn’t even flinch. They just kept their graceful march across the frozen water like champs, while I stood there contemplating hot cocoa and life choices.

So here’s to snowy country views that make you gasp, deer that think they’re figure skaters, and baby snakes braving the ice like it’s no big deal.
